A state of mind, more than a state of fact.
Currently based in Boston, she has been in and out of rope since 2013. Her approach to tying is deeply informed by her experiences as the person being tied, offering her a nuanced sensitivity to sensation, pacing, vulnerability, and the subtle dialogue that unfolds between tying partners. This embodied understanding is further enriched by her studies across martial, fiber, and visual arts traditions, each contributing to a practice that is both technically precise and intuitively responsive.
She values rope as a method for personal creative expression and spiritual growth. She believes tying is not simply an aesthetic or physical act, but something much deeper. It is the ideal path for cultivating patience, empathy, resilience, and non-verbal communication skills. Creating space for both partners to deepen their awareness of self and other.
Her teaching practice is grounded in years of dedicated study and experience, including several years of deep immersion in Europe under respected mentors and within diverse rope communities. She has presented and taught at international conferences and gatherings, sharing her perspectives on technique, mindset, and intention in rope practice. From 2021 to 2023, she ran a rope studio in Montana, fostering an inclusive space for learning, exploration, and community building. This period allowed her to further refine her pedagogical approach, emphasizing safety, consent culture, and the cultivation of confidence in both new and experienced practitioners.
Through both her personal practice and her teaching, she continues to explore rope as an evolving art form — one that invites curiosity, reverence, and transformation.
